Certification Manager

We are a Czech company that offers its products all over the world. We develop control systems that we supply to large vessels, hospitals or data centers. We ensure the backup power system for the O2 Arena in Prague, electrify entire islands in the Pacific or provide energy supplies on a plateau in the North Sea. In addition to our headquarters in Prague, we are located in 12 subsidiaries around the world and we employ more than 400 employees.

For our team in Prague, we are looking for a Certification Manager. It is a newly created position and a great opportunity for someone who wants to participate in building a certification team within the company. Our new colleague will secure that current certifications are valid, maintained and updated. And from the long-term perspective, we expect that our new colleague will collect requirements on new certifications, manage their implementation in the company, build know-how about certifications in ComAp to ensure to follow market trends.
Does it sound like the right position for you?

In this position you will be responsible for:

  • Product compliance/certifications´ collection with general high-level knowledge of all certifications required, standard´s/legislation´s up-dates and dependencies to ensure compliance of our products and to be able to sell products to various territories and industries.
  • Close cooperation with other departments (Product Management R&D, Technical Support, Sales - related to certifications).
  • Product certification/compliance roadmap creation and maintenance. Including planning, team creation, coordination, identification, and assurance/escalation of capacity/ capability need
  • Internal coordination during project execution. Creation of a team, high-level plan, detailed project plan, action steps
  • Coordination, participation in external certification audits
  • Administration and publication of a certificate or statement

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Basic knowledge of certifications (e.g. CE, UL, CAUK, SIL, EAC, Marine, …)
  • Relevant experience with project management in the development of technical products will be a huge advantage
  • Master’s degree (technical background is a plus)
  • Ability to negotiate in Czech/Slovak and in English
  • Strong communication skills towards both internal colleagues and external partners
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
